A keloid is a very complex lesion and its treatment is determined by the complexity of the disease. If it is a small, nodular keloid, it can be performed with injections or topical medications, and it can cost as little as a few tens or hundreds of dollars, requiring multiple repetitions of the treatment, which may have an accrual of costs. In the case of large, complex keloids, on the other hand, they may be treated using complex surgery, which may also involve plastic repair, and possibly radiation therapy and other aids, so such procedures can be more expensive, in the thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.
