Babies receiving 13-valent Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Conjugate Vaccine may have fever, but the fever lasts for about 1~3 days and will be relieved soon.
The 13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine can prevent pneumonia, septicemia, meningitis and other diseases caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae after vaccination. After receiving this vaccine, babies will have fever due to the stimulation of the immune system caused by the vaccine. Some babies may also have symptoms such as weakness, nausea, vomiting, etc., which will usually be relieved in about 1~3 days.
If your baby’s fever is not relieved after receiving the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, or if it is accompanied by other symptoms, he or she should go to the hospital for treatment to identify the cause.
