An electric welding eye is an ultraviolet burning injury in which the light stimulates a burn to the epithelium of the black eye, and the burn is followed by a dense peeling of the dotted epithelium, usually accompanied by significant pain and requiring emergency treatment. Sometimes, in order to relieve the patient’s pain, appropriate topical numbing medication is applied with eye ointment, and generally the epithelial damage heals within 24 hours and the eye pain then gradually disappears. The same night after the injury, the next day and then apply some eye ointment, sleep and rest for a day, and slowly get better. So this kind of patients come to stop the pain first, put on eye ointment, protect the epithelium, let it grow slowly, the next day will be much less.
