Misuse of expired food may lead to gastroenteritis, intestinal cramps and other digestive disorders, it is recommended to give continued observation, physical treatment and other methods of treatment.
1. Continued observation: Patients who accidentally consume expired food sometimes do not experience any physical discomfort, so they can first observe and pay close attention to whether they have gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, fever and so on.
2. Physical treatment: If the patient does not consume expired food for a long time, emetic treatment can be given to spit out the expired food and reduce the stimulation of the gastric mucous membrane by the food; regular massage of the abdomen can also be given to promote the digestion and absorption of gastrointestinal contents.
If the patient suddenly appears nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms, should promptly consult the gastroenterology department to give symptomatic treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
