Neiguan point belongs to the hand syncopal pericardium meridian, located on the palm side of the forearm, when the line between Quze and Daling, 2 inches above the transverse carpal stripe, between the tendon of the palmaris longus and the tendon of the radial flexor carpi ulnaris. It is used for treating cardiothoracic disorders such as heart pain, palpitation, chest tightness and chest pain; gastric disorders such as stomach pain, vomiting and eructation (hiccups); insomnia, epilepsy and other psychosomatic disorders.
The middle epigastric region belongs to the Ren Vessel, which is the recruitment point of the stomach. It is located in the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, 4 inches above the umbilicus. It treats stomachache, vomiting, eructation, regurgitation, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea, dysentery, chancre, jaundice, edema and other diseases.
Foot Sanli belongs to the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian and is located on the lateral side of the lower leg, 3 inches below the calf’s nose, on the line between calf’s nose and Xiexi. It is used for treating stomachache, vomiting, eructation, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, intestinal tinnitus, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, dysentery, asthma, palpitation, shortness of breath, and carbuncle (a purulent disease that occurs when the breasts become red, swollen, and painful, and the milk is not discharged properly).
