Ataxic gait is generally difficult to cure completely.
Ataxia is a condition in which the patient develops a drunken gait, is unable to walk in a straight line on his own, has difficulty standing with his eyes closed, or worse, experiences vertigo. Clinically, ataxia often occurs after a vascular lesion in the brain. Whether as a consequence of cerebral hemorrhage or cerebral infarction, ataxia is difficult to cure.
Ataxia can be relieved by acupuncture, physical therapy and rehabilitation. Although the effect is not obvious at the moment, patients can improve their prognosis to the greatest extent by insisting on the corresponding rehabilitation exercises.
It is recommended that patients with ataxic gait under the guidance of a professional physician actively undergo the appropriate rehabilitation therapy in order to obtain the best prognosis.
