What’s with the back pain after swimming?

After swimming back pain consider physiological factors, or lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar osteophytes and other disease factors.
Physiological factors: Swimming is an aerobic exercise, swimming due to excessive lumbar muscle movement caused by muscle fatigue caused by lumbar pain, generally can be relieved after resting, without special treatment.
2. Disease factors
(1) Lumbar intervertebral disc herniation: when there is a lumbar intervertebral disc herniation because of the protruding nucleus pulposus tissue stimulation to the soft tissues around the lumbar spine, it will be more obvious after swimming. This will lead to lumbar pain after swimming.
(2) Lumbar spinal canal slippage: for patients with lumbar spinal slippage, swimming will increase the stress on the lumbar spine and increase the degree of back pain.
(3) Lumbar osteophytes: lumbar spondylolisthesis because of the existence of lumbar pain symptoms in itself, the pain symptoms can be aggravated after excessive exercise, and there is a history of bone disease when asking for medical history.
Lumbar pain after swimming, or lumbar pain symptoms are serious and can not be relieved, should consult the doctor in time, to exclude whether there are lumbar spine fracture and lumbar spine tumors and other diseases, under the guidance of the doctor to improve the examination, to clarify the cause.
