Olmesartan ester can be used together with amlodipine. Olmesartan ester tablets belong to the angiotensin II receptor antagonist, a first-line, long-acting antihypertensive drug. It is mainly used to treat hypertension in clinical practice. Amlodipine is one of the most commonly used antihypertensive drugs, it belongs to the third generation of calcium antagonists, is recommended by the World Health Organization, one of the five major categories of commonly used antihypertensive drugs. It can be used to treat all types of hypertension (alone or in combination with other drugs) and angina pectoris, especially spontaneous angina pectoris (alone or in combination with other drugs). These two classes of antihypertensive drugs can be combined and are also currently available as olmesartan ester amlodipine tablets. The combination of the two classes of antihypertensive drugs is indicated in adult patients whose blood pressure is not well controlled by treatment with olmesartan ester alone or amlodipine alone. The usual adverse effects of olmesartan ester include back pain, bronchitis, and elevated creatine phosphokinase. Common adverse reactions to amlodipine are headache and edema. The medicines should be taken as prescribed by the doctor.
