Rectal prolapse can usually be detected by anal finger test, anoscopy and fecal imaging.
1. Anal finger test: this method is mainly to check whether there are lumps and foreign objects under the anal canal and rectum, and at the same time, it can judge the anal contraction force. If there is rectal prolapse, the accumulation and prolapse of mucosa will be touched during the finger test.
2. Anoscopy: the end of the rectum can be observed directly through the anoscopy to see whether there is rectal prolapse, mucosal laxity, congestion, ulceration, erosion, etc. In addition to identifying rectal prolapse, it can also be used to assist in identifying whether there are rectal polyps, annular hemorrhoids and so on.
3. fecal imaging: the imaging can be performed by conventional fluoroscopy or dynamic magnetic resonance imaging, and this examination method indicates rectal prolapse if it is observed as a funnel-shaped manifestation.
In addition, it can also be examined by visual diagnosis, anorectal manometry, etc. It is recommended that the patient be clearly examined and diagnosed under the guidance of the doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized and correct treatment.
