Spleen and stomach disorders require exercise

According to Chinese medical theory, the spleen is the master of the limbs, and a deficiency in the spleen results in weakness of the limbs and a lack of energy. In the author’s opinion, the opposite is also true. If the four bodies are not diligent, they are prone to spleen and stomach diseases, and limb exercises are beneficial to restore the function of the spleen and stomach. Many clinical chronic digestive diseases, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic diarrhea or constipation, are considered by Chinese medicine to be related to the weakness or dysfunction of the spleen and stomach, and most of these patients lack exercise and work in a sitting position for a long time. While giving medication to such patients, the importance of exercise was repeatedly emphasized, and patients were advised to have continuity in limb exercises, such as walking, jogging, swimming, yoga, aerobics, square dancing, etc. Patients who are able to follow my medical advice and strengthen exercise often have better results than those who simply take medication, and some patients with milder conditions can even shorten the course of medication. Therefore, people with weak spleen and stomach or dysfunction of the spleen and stomach are advised to exercise properly, which is greatly beneficial.
