Itchy dialysis may be an allergy to the instruments used in the dialysis process as well as to the drugs. Factors that may cause allergy should be removed, such as: i. switching to ultra-pure dialysis fluid, ii. changing the dialyzer, iii. increasing the pre-charge before dialysis, and iv. taking oral anti-allergy drugs before dialysis. During this period, the cause of itching or allergy should be clarified as soon as possible, and if the condition is serious, dialysis should be stopped immediately to avoid more serious consequences. Dialysis is a major clinical treatment for renal failure, and attention should be paid to improving one’s habits before and after dialysis to avoid causing discomfort to oneself. Before dialysis, you should pay attention to rest and avoid exertion, after dialysis, you should maintain a good living condition, quit smoking, quit drinking, exercise in moderation, eat a light diet and avoid spicy and stimulating foods, such as chili, garlic, beef, mutton, etc.
