Possible causes of brown spots on the back of hands include hyperpigmentation, pigmented nevi or seborrheic keratosis.
1. Hyperpigmentation: If the patient suffers from trauma on the back of the hand, after the wound heals, hyperpigmentation will occur and it will appear as brown color.
2. Pigmented nevus: usually caused by excessive pigment cells, showing brown spots on the back of the hand. For treatment, if the skin lesion is small, it does not need to be treated. If it is large and occurs in high abrasion areas such as the palm of the hand, surgical treatment is needed to remove it.
3. Seborrheic keratosis: commonly known as age spots. It may be due to prolonged sun exposure and heredity. If there is no progressive change in the brown spots, such as getting bigger or gradually increasing, no treatment is needed.
There may be other reasons for brown spots on the back of the hand, and it is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals for examination and standardized treatment under the guidance of doctors.
