Schwerta is the trade name and the generic name of the drug is Levamlodipine Benzenesulfonate Tablets. The drug is mainly used to treat high blood pressure and angina pectoris. The drug is a calcium in-flow blocker, which has an anti-hypertensive effect by directly diastolizing smooth muscle. It also dilates the coronary arteries in normal and ischemic areas, increasing the oxygen supply to the myocardium in patients with variant angina, reducing myocardial ischemia and relieving angina. Taking the drug may cause adverse reactions such as headache, edema, fatigue, insomnia, nausea, abdominal pain, redness of the face, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic) and dizziness, and the drug is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to dihydropyridine calcium antagonists.
