1. Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome: manifested as chest tightness and shortness of breath, palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), aggravated by activity, fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with a little movement), cyanosis of the lips, chest tightness and pain, pale and fat tongue, or dark petechiae, and a thin and dull pulse, etc. The treatment is Baoyuan Tang combined with Blood Foo and Blood Stasis Tang. Treatment: Baoyuan Tang combined with Xuefu yuyuxu Tang. 2. Qi and yin deficiency (deficiency of both qi and yin): palpitation, fatigue, heartburn and heat (heat in the heart of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), zygomatic redness and night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up), dark red tongue with little moss, and a fine pulse (the pulse becomes narrower and finer and the rate accelerates), with no strength. For treatment, use Sheng Vein San combined with Hematopoietic Blood Stasis Expelling Soup. 3. Yang deficiency and water flooding (Yang deficiency causing obstruction to the operation of water and liquid in the body): palpitation, gasping and not being able to lie down, swelling of the face and limbs, scanty urination, fatigue, fear of cold and cold limbs (fear of being cold and cold limbs), cyanosis of the lips and mouth, tingling pain in the chest, pale, fat and toothed tongue, petechiae and bruises, and a fine pulse. Treatment with Zhenwu Tang combined with Drabanemerosa hebecarpa jujube Lung Diarrhea Tang. 4. Panting off critical evidence: manifested by dark color, restlessness, cold extremities (cold extremities, even to the elbows and above the knees), urination, swelling of limbs, pale tongue, white moss, and fine pulse. Treatment is with Ginseng and Forsythia, Long Bone and Oyster Soup. If suffering from heart failure, one should consult the clinician and follow the doctor’s prescription.
