How soon can you recover from a comminuted clavicle fracture

The recovery time of comminuted clavicle fracture is related to the treatment method, fracture healing, age and other conditions, usually the bone scab can be formed in about 6~8 weeks, and it takes about 2~3 months for full recovery.
1. Treatment: If the comminuted fracture does not require surgical treatment, the general recovery time is about 6~8 weeks; if combined with vascular and nerve injuries or serious dislocation, usually need to be cut and fixed, and the general recovery time will be extended to about 3 months.
2. Fracture healing: After the fracture needs to be reviewed, patients with good fracture healing will form bone scabs in about 4~6 weeks, and gradually return to normal; while some patients may have poor bone healing or secondary injuries, the recovery time will be relatively longer.
3. Age: After the fracture of a teenager or an adult, the general condition is good and the physical quality is strong, the recovery time is relatively short, while the bone quality of the elderly is poorer, and the recovery time will be prolonged if it is combined with other chronic diseases.
Patients are advised to follow the doctor’s instructions and go to the hospital for regular checkups to observe the healing of the fracture.
