To locate the Yu Fu point, you need to locate the subclavian bone first, and after that look for a 2-inch opening next to the anterior midline. The distance from the nipples to the anterior midline is 4 inches, and their midline to the anterior midline is 2 inches. Combining the two, the location is Yu Fu point. Yu Fu point has the effect of relieving cough and calming asthma (stopping cough and calming wheezing), regulating qi and lowering rebelliousness, and can treat cough, asthma, vomiting, distension and fullness of the chest and ribs (the collective name for the chest and ribcage area), and loss of appetite.
