Hip pain requires attention to hip joint lesions, lumbar spine lesions, and trauma. Hip joint lesions such as ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, hip joint effusion will cause pain around the hip, usually after rest to alleviate the pain worsened after activities. Longer duration of the disease will cause muscle atrophy around the hip, muscle strength decline. Lumbar lesions such as lumbar disc herniation, spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, etc., the compression of the innervating hip nerves can also cause pain and numbness, and most of them will be radiated to the thigh and calf. Trauma can cause soft tissue damage around the hip, and in severe cases, it can cause fracture of the femoral neck and trochanter, which can also cause pain, and the displacement of the fracture can cause shortening and flexion deformity of the lower limbs. Too much activity during the day, such as long-distance running or climbing, and sleep at night can also cause physiological pain in the hip, which can be relieved after rest. If the symptoms of hip pain occur, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital, complete the examination and receive regular treatment.
