After a woman has intercourse for the first time, if she is not pregnant her body generally does not change much, the most significant change in the patient is that the hymen may rupture. Because the hymen is located just outside the vagina of a woman, most women will have a rupture of the hymen once they have substantial sexual intercourse, so when a gynecological examination is performed, the woman’s hymen is incomplete. But this is not absolute, because there are some women who may have incomplete hymen due to strenuous activities before having sex, or there are some women who do not have hymen rupture even if they have substantial sex, because the hymen is very elastic. Therefore, after a woman has intercourse for the first time, her body usually does not show very obvious changes, unless the patient is pregnant. In the case of pregnancy, the patient may experience enlargement of the breasts, deepening and enlargement of the areola, deepening of the color of the vulva, and other post-pregnancy pigmentation and hormonal changes.
