Pressure sore necrotic ulcers are flushed using medical saline, and the treatment of the wound is generally divided into cleaning, disinfection, and bandaging.
1. Cleaning: Use saline to rinse the wound 2~3 times repeatedly to remove the necrotic and detached tissues from the wound.
2. Disinfection: Use medical povidone-iodine to disinfect the wound, the outermost part of the disinfected area is ≥5cm from the edge of the wound; the order of disinfection, first peripheral, then internal wound.
3. Dressing: Use sterile medical gauze to dress the wound.
Whether pressure ulcers are properly treated and effectively recovered directly affects patients’ physical function and quality of life. For some of the patients with large scope and depth of wounds and infections, personal home care is inevitable, and they need to be hospitalized as soon as possible in regular hospitals to avoid serious consequences.
