Pressure sores are usually caused by improper care or by the gradual necrosis of the skin caused by the thinness of the patient’s body and the long-term compression of the skin. Different treatment methods are used depending on the severity of the pressure sore. In the early stages of pressure sores, edematous erythema appears on the skin, which can generally be relieved on its own by paying attention to care and turning over regularly, or by applying Xanax cream to promote remission. In severe cases, blisters may appear, which can be disinfected and then punctured to squeeze out the contents and apply Longzhu ointment or Old Stork Ointment. In more severe cases, mild erosions may occur, which require daily disinfection with iodophor and deiodination, followed by application of recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel to promote skin recovery. The most severe cases are ulcers that expose the subcutaneous bone, which then require regular dressing changes or surgical excision followed by suturing.
