How many years can you live with skin cancer?

How long can skin cancer survive cannot be generalized, the survival time may range from half a year to decades, and the survival time of patients is slightly different according to different pathological types and clinical stages.
At present, there is no direct clinical research data on how many years patients with malignant tumors can survive, and the 5-year survival rate is usually used to roughly assess the survival time of patients with malignant tumors. Long-term follow-up of patients after treatment is conducted, and the percentage of patients who are still alive after 5 years is counted, and the resulting data is the 5-year survival rate.
Statistically, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are relatively slow to develop, and after surgical resection, the probability of clinical cure is relatively high and hardly affects the normal life expectancy of patients. The 5-year survival rate of melanoma in situ is 95%, and the 5-year survival rate of metastatic melanoma is 10%.
Overall, malignant melanoma has a shorter survival time and is prone to recurrence. Other types of skin cancer have a better overall prognosis, longer survival time and higher cure rate.
It is recommended that patients pay attention to a light diet during treatment and follow the doctor’s instructions for follow-up.
