A one-year-old baby who gets a fish spike stuck is usually stuck in the throat or trachea, which leads to uncomfortable symptoms and should be treated at a hospital. If it is stuck in the throat, it is recommended to visit the ENT department of the hospital and give the fish spike to be removed by laryngoscopic means. If the baby has an irritating cough or even difficulty breathing, it is possible that it is stuck in the airway and a respiratory consultation is necessary to remove the fish spike using a fibrinoscope. Usually, a one-year-old baby is not able to open his mouth on his own, and usually it has to be removed under intravenous anesthesia and visualized through the endoscope of the relevant specialty, and cannot be handled by the patient’s family.
