The treatment of patellar fracture should maximize the smoothness of the joint surface, give stronger internal fixation, move the knee joint early, and prevent the occurrence of traumatic arthritis. Non-surgical treatment Plaster brace or tube fixation is suitable for non-displaced patellar fracture without manipulation, blood accumulation in the joint is drawn out, bandaged, and the affected limb is fixed in the extension position for 3-4 weeks with a long-legged plaster brace or tube type. Practice quadriceps contraction during plaster fixation and knee extension and flexion after removal of the plaster brace. 2. Surgical treatment Patellar fracture more than 2 to 3 mm displacement, joint surface unevenness more than 2 mm, combined with fracture of the extensor support band tear, is best treated surgically.
