Can Wu Ling San prevent motion sickness?

Motion sickness belongs to the category of “vomiting” or “vertigo” in Chinese medicine. There is no clear evidence that Wu Ling San can prevent motion sickness.
The ingredients of Wu Ling San include Poria, Zea Laxa, Poria, Cinnamon and Atractylodes Macrocephalae. It has the efficacy of warming yang and transforming qi (warming the yang qi in the body), inducing dampness and promoting the flow of water. It can be used to treat conditions such as dysuria (unsmooth urination), vomiting and diarrhea, edema and abdominal distension, and thirst.
There is no clear evidence that Wu Ling San can prevent motion sickness, but it can provide some relief to the symptoms of vomiting during motion sickness. People who are allergic to the ingredients of Wu Ling San should be prohibited from taking this drug.
Patients taking Wu Ling San need to follow the doctor’s instructions to take, not self-medication, in order to avoid adverse consequences.
