There is no such thing as where to moxibustion for cerebellar atrophy. Patients with cerebellar atrophy can alleviate their discomfort by moxibustion at the Baihui point and the Daxiheng point.
1. Baihui point: Baihui point is located on the top of the head, 5 inches straight up from the middle of the front hairline, has the effect of invigorating yang qi, opening up the orifices and tranquilizing the mind, and is mainly used for epilepsy, palpitations, vertigo, headache and other diseases, and can be used to alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms caused by cerebellar atrophy.
2. Great Vertebrae Point: Great Vertebrae Point is located in the depression under the spinous process of the 7th cervical vertebrae, which has the efficacy of clearing away heat, relieving epidemics, intercepting malaria, stopping epilepsy, clearing the brain, and tranquilizing the mind. It can be used for epilepsy, epileptic symptoms, children’s convulsions (pediatric diseases mainly manifested by dizziness, apoplexy, and convulsions), strong neck and vomiting, and it can also be used to alleviate uncomfortable symptoms caused by cerebellar atrophy.
Patients with microcephaly cannot rely on moxibustion alone to treat the disease; moxibustion can only help patients relieve their own discomfort. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
