There is no optimal exercise method for walking instability with microcephaly. Generally, the commonly used exercise methods include balance training, gait training, proprioceptive training, muscle strength training, and so on. 1. Balance training: In a safe environment, patients are trained to stand on one foot, stand on uneven ground, etc., so as to improve the balance of the body and enhance the walking ability. 2. Gait training: according to the severity of the disease, choose appropriate assistive devices, such as parallel bars, canes, crutches, walking carts, walking frames, weight-loss walking devices, walking robots, and wheelchairs, etc. for walking training. 3. Proprioceptive training: to enhance the proprioception and improve the coordination ability of limbs by imitating the movement of the healthy lower limb with eyes closed, walking with eyes closed under barefoot condition, and weight-bearing training. 4. muscle training: rehabilitation training for both lower limbs, such as static squatting, hip, knee and ankle resistance group flexion and extension training, etc., to improve the patient’s muscle control of the lower limbs and enhance the ability to walk. It is recommended that patients with cerebellar atrophy who have symptoms of unsteady walking need to consult a doctor in time to standardize their treatment and rehabilitation, so as not to delay their condition.
