Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan, on the other hand, is effective in warming and tonifying kidney yang (warming and replenishing yang qi of the kidneys), transforming qi to move water (promoting the movement of qi and thus water). It is composed of Radix Pseudostellariae and Rhizoma Cinnamomum Cassiae, Radix Plantago Ovatae, Poriae and Zedoariae, Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae and Cornus Cornu Cervi. It is used in the treatment of lumbar and knee soreness and limpness (a feeling of soreness and weakness of the lumbar and knee areas) and dysuria (unruly urine) due to kidney yang deficiency. Qi Ju Di Huang Wan mainly treats kidney yin deficiency, while Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan mainly treats kidney yang deficiency, they have different effects and are not recommended to be taken together.
