What’s the part under the belly called?

The stomach is divided into the upper and lower abdomen according to the navel, and the lower part of the stomach belongs to the lower abdomen, which includes the pelvis and is rich in organs and tissues.

1. The upper abdomen is above the navel and below the diaphragm, containing the stomach, duodenum, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, transverse colon, part of the ascending colon and descending colon.

2. The lower abdomen is below the navel and above the pubic symphysis, containing the small intestine, jejunum, appendix, part of the ascending colon, part of the descending colon, sigmoid colon, rectum, kidneys, ureter, bladder, and uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries in women, and prostate gland in men.

3. The entire abdominal cavity is surrounded by the peritoneum (greater omentum), which contains lymphatic tissue.

There are many organs in the abdominal cavity. If abdominal pain and other uncomfortable symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination to clarify the cause of the disease and actively treat it, and not to be negligent so as not to delay the condition.
