How to Reverse Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy cannot be reversed and is usually treated with medications to improve symptoms and reduce complications.
1. Reduce outflow tract obstruction in the left ventricle: the first line of therapeutic drugs are beta receptor antagonists. Commonly used are metoprolol and so on. It is mainly used to relieve the symptoms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It is contraindicated in patients with cardiogenic shock and bradycardia. Adverse reactions such as fatigue, coldness in the extremities and abdominal pain exist.
2. Treatment for atrial fibrillation: the common arrhythmia of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is atrial fibrillation, which can be treated with amiodarone. Amiodarone can be used for the treatment of atrial arrhythmia. It is contraindicated in allergy, severe hypotension and abnormal thyroid function. There are side effects such as bradycardia, abnormal taste and photoallergic reactions.
If a medical examination reveals that you have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, you need to be treated under the supervision of a cardiologist.
