A pimple that doesn’t go away can be caused by acne, folliculitis, boils, and other diseases that manifest as pimples, and requires medication, general treatment, and surgery to address the cause.
1. Acne: patients should follow the doctor’s instructions to use topical isotretinoin cream, adapalene gel and other retinoids, fusidic acid cream and other drugs. 2. Folliculitis: due to pathogenic bacterial infection. 3. In severe cases, oral antibiotics such as clindamycin should be prescribed. If the boil has been fluctuating feeling, can consider the incision and drainage.
