Contraindications and side effects of Lipocon

Contraindications to the use of Lipotecan are: unexplained elevation of blood aminotransferases or active hepatitis; hypersensitivity to the drug. Side effects such as stomach pain, dizziness, bloating, headache, heartburn, fatigue, rash, swelling, dry mouth, myalgia, and conjunctival congestion can be experienced after use of the drug. The drug has the efficacy of activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body), removing dampness and expelling phlegm, invigorating the spleen and eliminating food, and can be used for the following: hyperlipidemia; adjuvant treatment of cardiovascular and cerebral vascular diseases due to atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia; symptoms of fatigue, shortness of breath, tightness in chest, dizziness, abdominal distension, headache, and hypophagia (lack of appetite and decreased food intake) caused by spleen deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis obstruction syndrome. During the medication period, a light diet should be maintained and blood lipids, blood aminotransferase and creatine phosphokinase should be monitored regularly, and liver function should be monitored in patients with a history of liver disease. If blood aminotransferase exceeds the upper limit of normal by 3 times, or blood creatine phosphokinase is significantly elevated, the drug should be discontinued immediately.
