Normally, the site of fertilization is in the fallopian tube and after the sperm and egg have united in the fallopian tube, they pass through the tube to the uterus to be laid, a process called normal pregnancy. There are also some cases where the time in the fallopian tube is delayed due to the presence of tubal inflammation and tubal dysplasia, thus not reaching the uterus in the normal time for the implantation of the pregnancy, and the pregnancy in the fallopian tube can cause arterial rupture and bleeding as the fertilized egg increases in size. This is a gynecological emergency and may be life threatening if the bleeding is not treated promptly.
