Differences between food poisoning and other acute illnesses

Difference between food poisoning and other diseases: Food poisoning is usually a gastrointestinal reaction, and patients will experience gastrointestinal discomfort, such as vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and abdominal distension. Food poisoning is usually caused by the patient eating gastrointestinal irritants or acutely poisoned food or moldy food, therefore, comprehensive treatment such as emetic and antibiotic treatment can be used. If the patient has a serious case of food poisoning with abdominal distension, abdominal pain and diarrhea, surgical interventions are given if necessary, usually intravenous fluid therapy and gastric lavage disposal.
