The swelling of axillary lymph nodes in breast cancer patients suggests that the patients may have axillary lymph node metastasis, and they need to seek regular treatment as soon as possible.
Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor occurring in the breast, which has invasive characteristics and will infiltrate and metastasize to the surrounding tissues, and the cancer cells will also metastasize to the distant organs through the lymphatic pathway and blood transport pathway.
Among them, axillary lymph nodes are common metastatic areas of breast cancer, and they are mostly the first metastatic areas. The presence of enlarged lymph nodes in this area suggests that the patient may be in the middle or late stage of the disease.
For the current patients, they should go to breast surgery for regular medical treatment. On the one hand, improve the relevant examination to clarify whether the patient has other organs metastasis. On the other hand, the patient should be actively treated, mainly by surgery, and try to remove the lesion and clear the lymph nodes through radical surgery, so as to reduce the chances of recurrence and metastasis of the lesion after surgery.
After surgery, the patient’s condition will be further analyzed through pathological examination, immunohistochemistry and genetic testing, and then follow-up radiotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted drugs and other adjuvant therapeutic measures will be carried out.
