Do Hepatitis B carriers need to take medication?

Hepatitis B carriers do not need medication, but some of them may have acute attacks of slow hepatitis B or even progress to cirrhosis or liver cancer. It is recommended that hepatitis B carriers go to a regular hospital at least half a year to improve liver function, hepatitis B virus quantification, AFP and liver imaging tests, such as ultrasound and CT. For hepatitis B carriers who are over 40 years old, especially men or those with a family history of cancer, regardless of whether their liver function is normal or not, they should have a liver penetration test to clarify the pathological state of the liver and undergo antiviral treatment as early as possible. Hepatitis B carriers should also pay attention to rest, eat properly, and avoid taking drugs that cause liver damage.
