What is the disease of unconscious head shaking

Unconscious shaking of the head is clinically common with idiopathic tremor. Idiopathic tremor is a type of tremor of unknown cause, mostly seen in middle-aged and elderly people. In idiopathic tremor, the frequency of the tremor is faster than that of Parkinson’s tremor, and it is not a limb tremor that develops in an N-shaped pattern. Idiopathic tremor can appear as an unconscious tremor of the head, especially pronounced during tension, and can also be accompanied by tremor of both upper limbs, and as the disease progresses and worsens, a person can develop a tremor of the tongue. In this case, the patient can be given a small oral dose of beta-blocker and, if necessary, clonazepam and other drugs for symptomatic treatment. For unconscious tremor of the head, it is recommended to check the head CT to exclude intracranial occupying lesions, such as the caudate nucleus and the nucleus accumbens, which affect the function of the extravertebral system. If the head CT is not problematic, the clinical consideration is that idiopathic tremor is more likely.
