Is it good for newborns to grow beyond the norm?

Excessive growth and development of newborns beyond the standard is usually bad.
The causes of excessive growth and development of newborns can be divided into physiological and pathological:
1. Physiological: the main reason for physiological growth and development exceeding the standard is over-nutrition, which will cause rapid proliferation of fat cells, which is the potential basis for obesity in adulthood, and may increase the risk of cardio-cerebral and cerebrovascular diseases, insulin resistance and other diseases in adolescence and later.
2. Pathological: Pathological growth and development beyond the standard may be due to excessive secretion of growth hormone, which may lead to early closure of the epiphysis of the child, and ultimately may lead to short stature of the child.
If a newborn’s growth exceeds the standard and needs treatment, it should be carried out under the guidance of a professional physician, and should not blindly use medication on its own, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
