If a single measurement is taken and the result of a blood pressure of 144/94 mmHg is present, there is a chance that it is not possible to determine whether it is dangerous or not. If this value is still present after several measurements, it is considered high blood pressure and is a more dangerous condition. In a quiet state, a normal person’s blood pressure is 90-139 mmHg for high pressure and 60-89 mmHg for low pressure, but if the blood pressure of 144/94 mmHg appears after a single measurement, it may be caused by factors such as stress or exercise, and is not indicative of the true situation. If the above result occurs after several measurements (not more than three on the same day), it is out of the normal range and can be considered as Grade 1 hypertension, which is a more dangerous condition. If there are no risk factors per se, it is low risk. If 1-2 risk factors are present in combination, it is considered medium risk. If there are more than three risk factors or combined target organ damage, it is high risk. Patients should improve their lifestyles and seek medical attention in a timely manner.
