A bout of stomach pain and farting is mainly caused by intestinal spasms and increased gas production in the intestines. Normal intestines are rhythmically peristaltic from proximal to distal at 3-5 times per minute, driving the flow of food and digestive juices and ultimately expelling food debris from the body. Inflammation of the intestines can lead to spasms of the intestinal smooth muscle, hence the rhythmic bouts of pain. During the digestion of food in the intestine, the normal flora of the intestine will produce a small amount of gas, which will be discharged from the anus. When diseases such as intestinal inflammation, dysbiosis, gastrointestinal dysfunction, etc., or consumption of potato, beans and other gas-producing foods occur, it causes an increase in the production of gas, and therefore abdominal paroxysms with farting will occur. When abdominal paroxysm with farting occurs, other pathologic factors are not excluded at the same time, such as dietary adjustments and regulation of intestinal function, abdominal pain is still not improved, need to consult a doctor in time to avoid delaying the condition.
