Lymph nodes over 2cm are not necessarily cancerous and need to be clarified by a biopsy of the lymphatic tissue. Under normal circumstances, the size of lymph nodes in human body should be maintained between 0.5-1 cm. If the size of lymph nodes exceeds 2cm, it suggests that there is abnormal enlargement of lymph nodes, which needs to be alerted to neoplastic diseases (including lymphoma or lymph node metastasis), but it may also be caused by local tissue or systemic inflammation stimulation, which needs to be comprehensively judged by specialists combined with the patient’s clinical manifestations and relevant auxiliary examination results, and the definitive diagnosis of neoplastic diseases of the lymph nodes needs to be clarified by histopathology. It is recommended that patients should go to specialized hospitals in time after finding enlarged lymph nodes, and cooperate with specialists for clear diagnosis and treatment.
