Cervical cancer vaccine is not recommended for women over 45 years old. Although it is not absolutely impossible for women over 45 years old to receive cervical cancer vaccine, the age coverage of the cervical cancer vaccine currently used in clinical practice does not include women over 45 years old, so the preventive protective effect of the vaccine for these women will be significantly reduced, and there is a certain degree of risk when receiving the vaccine, therefore, it is not very clinically significant to consider the vaccine in a comprehensive manner. Regular cervical cancer screening is recommended for women over 45 years of age, including HPV examination and cervical liquid-based cytology; colposcopy and cervical biopsy can be performed when necessary to clarify the nature of the lesions, so that precancerous lesions can be detected and treated in a timely manner.
