How best to treat jaundice

There is no uniform method to treat jaundice with the best effect, and timely and standardized treatment is needed to address the cause of the disease. There are many kinds of jaundice, including physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice. Physiological jaundice does not need treatment, and it can be eliminated by drinking more water and getting more sunshine, while pathological jaundice includes obstructive jaundice, hemolytic jaundice and hepatocellular jaundice. For obstructive jaundice, the treatment is surgery, which requires endoscopic choledochotomy to relieve the obstruction; for hemolytic jaundice, hormone therapy is needed, including hydrocortisone and glucocorticoid, etc.; hepatocellular jaundice requires liver-protecting and antiviral therapy. Patients need to pay attention to avoiding labor and staying up late in daily life. It is recommended that patients with pathologic jaundice should seek medical treatment in a timely manner, and should not be negligent so as not to delay their condition.
