For liver disease ultrasound or CT, ultrasound is the preferred examination method for checking liver disease in general. Because ultrasound is convenient, no radiation, real-time dynamic imaging, less expensive, and easy for patients to accept. For the diagnosis of liver diseases, ultrasound conclusions can give a normal or abnormal diagnosis, if ultrasound examination of the liver is normal, as well as ultrasound on the specific diagnostic value of the disease, such as liver cysts, intrahepatic choledocholithiasis, and so on do not need to do CT examination. There are also certain liver diseases for which ultrasound is not specific, such as solid space-occupying lesions in the liver, which require differential diagnosis with other diseases, and can be further examined in combination with liver CT. Ultrasound review is also recommended as the preferred option for liver diseases that have already been clearly diagnosed and require regular review. In addition, for patients with obesity and large intra-abdominal gas, liver examination is recommended to choose CT.
