The treatment for foot injuries depends on the degree of injury, such as topical bruise medication, plaster immobilization, surgical treatment, or debridement and suturing with medication.
1. Minor: If the foot is injured to a minor degree, a mild sprain or general soft tissue injury, then topical bruise medication can be used, such as plasters, pain sprays or safflower oil.
2. Fracture but displacement is not obvious: If there is a fracture but the displacement is not obvious, conservative treatment can be carried out, taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as celecoxib, and the use of plaster immobilization, bed rest, and to avoid weight bearing on the foot.
3. Fracture with obvious displacement: if the fracture is more serious, surgical internal fixation and bed rest are needed, and the recovery time is usually more than three months.
4. Open wounds: If the foot injury is an open wound, it needs to be cleaned and sutured, and antibiotic drugs to prevent infection, common drugs for cephradine, amoxicillin, etc., the wound is deeper, and need to be injected with tetanus vaccine.
Medications need to be under the guidance of a physician, such as foot injuries after the pain or swelling is obvious, it should be timely to the local regular hospital to receive treatment.
