Fever in children is an autoimmune reaction caused by the infection of pathogens. If there are symptoms of fever while sleeping, but the child does not have shaking limbs, irritability and other uncomfortable conditions, there is no need to wake up for cooling treatment. However, it is important to measure the body temperature regularly and reduce the amount of clothing worn to help the body dissipate heat and avoid a continuous increase in body temperature. If the fever continues to rise during sleep and is accompanied by chills and shortness of breath, physical cooling and oral medication should be given immediately to prevent the symptoms from worsening and causing febrile convulsions.
