What to do if your baby gets prickly heat

Prickly heat can be categorized into four types: white prickly heat, red prickly heat, pus prickly heat and deep prickly heat. It is recommended that babies with prickly heat should cooperate with their doctors for treatment. The most common treatment for prickly heat is medication, which should be prescribed by the doctor.
1. Topical medication: To treat prickly heat, topical glycerin lotion can be used; glucocorticoids such as dieldrin cream can be applied to red prickly heat, and antibiotics such as mupirocin ointment can be applied to pus prickly heat.
2. Oral medication: For severe itching symptoms, antihistamines such as cetirizine hydrochloride drops can be added orally. For pus rash with heavy infection, antibiotics can be taken to control the infection, such as amoxicillin, ampicillin, roxithromycin, cefadroxil and so on.
After the use of drugs should be observed whether there is a rash, facial edema and other allergic reactions occur, there are ulcers or oozing parts of the direct external application of drugs should not be used, the above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
