Squamous cell carcinoma is a malignant tumor of squamous epithelial origin and is a common pathologic type of solid tumor. Leukemia, on the other hand, is a hematologic malignancy derived from hematopoietic stem progenitor cells and is a non-solid tumor.
1. Squamous cell carcinoma originates from various squamous epithelium or squamous epithelial metaplasia, which can be seen in solid malignant tumors of various organs, such as squamous carcinoma of the lung, squamous carcinoma of the esophagus, squamous carcinoma of the skin, squamous carcinoma of the bladder, squamous carcinoma of the uterine cervix, and so on.
2. Leukemia is a malignant clonal disease of hematopoietic stem progenitor cells, which belongs to the malignant tumors of hematopoietic system. Hematopoietic stem progenitor cells, due to various reasons, are hindered from differentiation, stagnate at different developmental stages and proliferate in large quantities, and then infiltrate the bone marrow and other organs to cause a series of manifestations.
According to the cell source, it can be divided into myeloid leukemia and lymphocytic leukemia, and according to the differentiation degree of tumor cells, it can be divided into acute leukemia and chronic leukemia.
Squamous cell carcinoma and leukemia have different cell sources, and their regression, prognosis and treatment principles are different, belonging to different malignant tumors.
It is recommended that patients consult professional doctors to formulate appropriate treatment plans according to their own conditions.
