Orange peel changes are a clinical sign unique to breast cancer, which means the skin on the surface of the patient’s breast is uneven like an orange peel and has protrusions, wrinkles, etc. It is usually a malignant tumor of the breast that invades the lymphatic ducts of the breast, resulting in localized orange peel-like changes. Careful palpation of the patient’s internal breast can reveal a distinct lump with unclear borders, which may be large or fixed. Patients are usually advised to combine breast ultrasonography and mammography to basically clarify the diagnosis. After the diagnosis is clear, the next step of treatment, such as surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, etc., is usually considered in conjunction with the size of the lump and the specific stage of the lump.
