Causes of high neutrophil ratio

High neutrophil ratio may be caused by physiological factors such as pregnancy and exercise, or pathological factors such as infection and blood diseases.
1. Physiological factors: the neutrophil ratio fluctuates throughout the day, and is higher in the afternoon; physiological factors such as late pregnancy, childbirth, strenuous exercise, high temperature or severe cold can also lead to a temporary increase in neutrophils.
2. Pathological factors: mainly including acute infections, especially purulent coccus infections such as Staphylococcus aureus; severe trauma, postoperative surgery, massive burns and other serious tissue injuries, as well as severe intravascular hemolysis; acute hemorrhage; acute poisoning; leukemia, myelofibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma and other hematologic and solid tumors, etc., all of which can lead to elevated neutrophil ratio.
There are many reasons for elevated neutrophil ratio, so it is recommended to consult a specialist, combine with other indicators in the blood routine, symptoms, etc. to determine the possible causes of the disease, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
