Pimples are generally referred to as acne. Acne can be treated with topical and oral medications, as well as physical therapy if necessary.
1. Topical medications: Topical retinoids are preferred for mild to moderate acne, including retinoid cream and adapalene gel. If accompanied by bacterial infection, topical antibiotic drugs such as clindamycin cream and fusidic acid cream should also be applied. It can also be treated with topical benzoyl peroxide gel, which has the effect of killing Propionibacterium acnes.
2. Oral medication: If the effect of topical medication is not satisfactory or the acne is more serious, oral medication is also needed. Currently, the more effective anti-acne medication is isotretinoin soft capsule, and oral contraceptive pills or spironolactone are also needed for treatment, but they should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
3. Physical therapy: Physical therapy is categorized into photodynamic therapy and laser therapy. Photodynamic therapy is mainly to inhibit Propionibacterium acnes and reduce inflammation, while laser therapy can improve pimples and acne marks.
At the same time, patients should have a regular work and rest, adjust the diet, usually do not stay up late, reduce the intake of high-fat, high-sugar, dairy food, and use mild cleansing and skin care products to keep the local skin clean, which is conducive to the recovery of the condition. If the condition is serious, you should consult a doctor in time to standardize the treatment.
